Attendees : Shaila, Ashok, Suparna, Mr. Richard Moore, Ms. Lesley Wojcik
Minutes:
Shaila explained the first prototype for calculating number of hits to Mr. Richard and Ms. Wojcik.
Mr. Richard suggested to have a meter as a graphical indicator for number of hits instead of the present text version.
Mr. Richard explained the organizational details of the present file storage system.
The present file storage system includes steel file cabinets as the outermost container. The cabinet stores many hanging folders and manila folders. The manila folder contains documents.
The cabinets have a unique number and the folders have a unique name for identification.
We proposed a prototype based on the organizational details, for entering the physical resources in the database.
The prototype will have an interface for- creating locations for the physical resources and adding the resources to the available locations.
The locations will be based on the room number, name of room owner, cabinet number, name of hanging folder(if required) and name of manila folder(if required).
The resources can be added to the locations by selecting the desired location i.e. a particular room, a particular cabinet, a particular manila folder.
Mr. Richard explained the graphical user interface for this prototype.
We also discussed the possible techniques for identifying a physical resource which has been entered into the system.
The possible techniques can be putting a mark on the physical resource with invisible ink, giving a barcode to the physical resource or attaching a colored sticker to the resource.
We attended the telephonic conference with X1 Business Development Group.
The X1 group has agreed to give the SDK to Mr. Richard for future enhancement.
We decided to request Professor Bolker to talk to X1 group about the SDk and the legal issues associated with it.
